Episode 14
You Don't Owe the Flesh Anything | Romans 8:12-13 |
For years I had a rule nobody gave me: a full band on the platform, every single Sunday, no exceptions. A missing bass player read as me failing at my job. Nobody was collecting that debt but me.
Paul says we are debtors, but not to the flesh. The invoices keep arriving. Not one of them is legitimate anymore. And the deeds of the body get put to death by the Spirit, not by shame. One of those ends in death. The other one ends in life.
Anchored in Romans 8:12-13. Part of a verse-by-verse season through the interior-life chapter of the New Testament.
