Episode 34
Romans 8:33-34 | Someone Is Building a Case Against You
Somewhere this week a version of you got built in a room you were not in. It does not start with a confrontation. It starts with a sentence you were not there for, and by the time it reaches you it has a shape and three people who agree with it.
Ask who could bring a charge and the natural answer is a list. Your critic, somebody on staff, you at two in the morning. Paul does not give the list. He names the Judge. Years ago my creative team declined a VBS stage request through the software, and what came back to me was that Ryan's creative team is being mean to us. One click was all the material the case needed. Which is why Paul does not argue the facts. Back in verse twenty six the Spirit interceded with hyperentygchano. Here Paul runs the same verb with the prefix off, and it is Christ. One inside you, one at the bench.
Anchored in Romans 8:33-34. Part of a verse-by-verse season through the interior-life chapter of the New Testament.
