Habakkuk 2:17 | The Violence Done to Lebanon
There's a tree line I drive past on the way into town that used to be thicker. They cleared it for a development that still isn't finished. The stump field is still there. So is the sign promising what's coming. Lebanon, in this world, is timber. Cutting what took decades to grow so somebody can finish a project this year.
You can strip a team the way you strip a hillside. Take the best energy every weekend. Promise rest that never lands on the calendar. Call it a season. Watch the soil thin. You can call it momentum for a long time, and momentum is a polite word for taking faster than you return. Hard seasons end. Extraction habits don't, unless somebody names them.
